Why does TROS provide ICT consultancy (Operational Support) services?

At TROS we believe that information and communications technologies (ICT) should be used to empower our communities. It is TROS objective to assist government agencies, policy developers, regulators, telecommunications administrators, network operators, and service providers to set in place policies, rules and regulations, and business models that facilitate the empowerment of the Caribbean Nationals through the use of ICT’s. Properly developed policies, rules and regulations, and business models must ensure that future technological developments empower Caribbean nationals and create a sustainable economical development.

How does TROS achieve its objective?

The idea is to identify initiatives that could benefit from the capabilities offered by ICT tools in general and technological developments in particular. These initiatives should have specific short and long-term targets that would promote empowerment of the Caribbean nationals. One of such initiatives if not the most important initiative is the CARICOM Single Market Economy (CSME). The CSME refers to the concept of free intra-CARICOM movement of goods; trade in services, skills, capital and the right to establishment. ICT can play an important role in the achievement of these objectives. At TROS it is our objective to help governments agencies, operators, and service providers to identify such initiatives internationally, regionally and locally. TROS in cooperation with its strategic partners and alliances will then assist in the process of development and execution of ICT related objectives.

What does TROS offer?

TROS provides consultancy in the ICT field in particular for support of operational aspects of the sector.
